NILD Educational Therapy
NILD Educational Therapy techniques help to re-train the brain and stimulate areas of weakness in processing, memory, attention, language and math. With a combined neurodevelopmental and cognitive approach, students will:
- improve their ability to think more clearly, and
- improve their test scores.
IM is a therapeutic computer training program that improves attention, concentration, motor planning and sequencing. Timing is an important part of our brain connections. This program addresses focus and attention, as well as fluency and processing speed. Even sports professionals use this program to improve their performance! There is an opportunity for you to purchase an IM Home system as a follow up to this introductory week.
Integrated Listening Systems
ILS focuses on improving the sensory system by using therapeutically filtered music to build a strong foundation for higher learning. There is much research to prove the importance of movement for the brain! We will focus on laterality of left and right brain hemisphere, coordination, and balance. Using movement and filtered music, auditory pathways are enhanced and focus and attention are improved.
There is an opportunity for you to rent an ILS system following this introductory week. Rental systems are limited, so book yours early.
Rx for Discovery in Reading, Writing OR Math
These 1 hour Rx (prescriptive) group sessions (2-4 students) focuses on review of the basic skills and honing-in on specific foundational aspects needed for growth in these areas. Therapists will plan their program to address the individual needs of each student.
We want to help your child make the leap this summer and build his/her confidence and competence!
We promise to make LEARNING FUN!
