IDA Certified Dyslexia Therapist

Diane is founder and owner of GeerLINKS Educational Therapy, bringing 25 years of educational experience to this practice. Throughout these years, she has taught children of all ages and abilities in groups and one-on-one. Her educational experiences range from homeschooling her own 5 children to teaching children with learning disabilities, visual and auditory processing difficulties, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and developmental delays.

In 2009, Diane trained as an NILD Educational Therapist and has since continued to pursue her passion for learning with particular focus on the neuroplasticity of the brain and how we can improve our capacity for learning at any age. She is now a Certified Educational Therapist with NILD Canada, a Search and Teach provider, a practitioner with Integrated Listening Systems and a provider with Interactive Metronome. Diane is the Director of Marketing for NILD Canada – National Institute for Learning Development.

Diane is passionate about helping kids learn, developing their strengths and improving their weaknesses. She loves to share her passion with others and has spoken at many conferences across Canada.

Jon has a Bachelor’s degree from Florida in Public Health and Safety, but a move to Canada and his love for children directed a career change. Jon is passionate about assisting students on their journey to becoming independent learners. He is a Certified Educational Therapist with NILD Canada, an Interactive Metronome provider, and an Integrated Listening Systems practitioner. He brings energy and fun to his therapy sessions.

NILD Professionally Certified Educational Therapist (P.C.E.T.)

Lori has been working with children and youth for over 16 years in a variety of capacities.  She has a Masters of Divinity in Counseling and was a Youth Pastor and volunteer chaplain at a young offender’s institution before deciding to become trained as an educational therapist.  Lori is passionate about all people being set free from what holds them back. She is a Certified Educational Therapist with NILD Canada, a Search and Teach provider, and an Integrated Listening Systems practitioner. Lori brings a lot of understanding and patience to her therapy sessions.

Jeremy has a Bachelor of Education from Redeemer University College. He is a lifelong athlete turned coach, with a desire for people to excel. This desire and his passion for education started his journey to assist people in unlocking their full potential. Jeremy is a Professionally Certified Educational Therapist with NILD Canada, an Interactive Metronome provider, and an Integrated Listening Systems practitioner. He quickly connects with students and brings patience and fun into therapy.

Irene Pypker

NILD Registered Educational Therapist

Irene’s 18 years of experience home educating her 4 children and teaching classes for teens forms the background for her work as a Registered Educational Therapist with NILD Canada. Her desire is to ignite curiosity and thinking in her students, enabling each of them to reach their full potential.  She brings empathy and a sense of fun to the therapy sessions.

Ruth Agnew

NILD Registered Educational Therapist

Ruth has been working with children and teens for over 20 years. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies from Emmaus Bible College and a Bachelor of Arts in Honours History from McMaster University. Originally Ruth planned to go to teacher’s college, but decided to target her focus on helping struggling learners succeed. She has a passion for education in all its forms and is a believer on building knowledge on firm foundations of learning. She brings a rich background of experience to her therapy sessions.
